Hey it's an Aristides 070r! black everything USB CONNECTIVITY, can't wait to load some SNES roms on this thing I like how the fretboard is barely distinguishable from the rest of the neck, looks like it's all one piece, pretty cool Fishmans, no neck heel, the "brushed" finish on the R series works really well in black, even better than my pink 080r Ollie was very annoyed that I interrupted his nap time by unpacking a guitar FIRST IMPRESSIONS: I knew what to expect since I've already got an 080r, and this guitar didn't disappoint. Fit and finish are flawless. It arrived in tune and with no need for adjustments. Playability is superb, it's got the same thin oval profile as the 080 but feels a little comfier because the neck isn't as wide. The "raw" finish definitely has some texture to it, I could see some people not liking it compared to their regular satin finishes but I think it's quite nice. This is my first instrument with Fluences in them and I like them a lot! Nice and high output but more "open" sounding than the EMGs in my 080r, like passive pickups only in 4K, if that makes any sense. The 2nd voicing sounds flatter and less dynamic to my ears, but is nice if you don't want to drive the amp as hard on clean or semi-clean stuff. I've got it in drop-g right now and it sounds killer. I got this direct from Aristides and they were great to deal with (again). I think I might be done with wood guitars, they hate the climate up here and I'm tired of sharp fret ends and constant truss rod adjustment. Believe the hype, these guitars are fuckin fantastic.
