Hey guys! So since I was about 17 years old, I had always lusted after a Blade Grey Ibanez K-7. It was my favourite guitar ever, and I knew one day when I was older and could afford things that I'd have one. So 6 years ago when I joined this site, I got a crazy deal on an '01 Firespeak Blue one that I couldn't pass up, so I bought it. I love that thing to pieces and still have it, but I couldn't help looking at it everyday just wishing it was grey.

So about a month ago, I lost out on an eBay deal for a used RG2027X; the seller flopped hard and sold it to someone else. I was pretty pissed, but things DO happen for a reason. Not long after I posted a WTB in the classifieds, I got a PM about a mint blade grey K-7. I was reluctant, but pulled the trigger. And now after 6 years googling pictures and waiting- I have one!!!

To say this guitar is mint in an understatement. The frets and hardware are basically new. The finish is FLAWLESS, aka, no dings, no scratches, no pick swirls, scuffs, NOTHING. There is still plastic on the truss rod cover. The neck wood feels new and unplayed. The tags from the store and the inspection card from the Fujigen factory are still in the case. All original documentation and case candy was included. Only things not stock, a trem stopper (making it dive only) and the UV1000C case was swapped for the newer prestige case (which is much better.) Out of the case it came relatively in tune and setup pretty good. I could not be happier. IMHO, the condition of this guitar is far better than that of guitars hanging new in stores. I don't think it was played very much.

I made the deal with Chris O. from here at sevenstring.org. He's a fantastic guy, and a swell guy to do business with. I recommend him to all.

    (tl;dr) PICS!!!

Dammit I lusted after these things for years, congrats that is in AMAZING condition, bet it rocks too. Hear they have PAFs and not anything higher gain, so I'll bet it sounds raw as hell \m/ But does it Korn?

Super stoked for ya! I was really happy it made it there in one piece - with as long as it spent in Customs!

Awesome guitar for sure. I've never seen a cleaner one, and this one has "it". Monster player for sure.

Enjoy it. It was a tough one to let go, but life sometimes has a way of presenting opportunities when others have faded - in this case, a bucket list guitar for you!

It was a pleasure working with you!

Its official... Blade Grey is the best colour for K-7's.

Congrats mate, I know the feeling of getting a guitar you've hunted for.

Congrats dude! While I don't like Korn and their music, those K7s are probably the best Ibanez 7-string guitars I have ever played.

I not only think it's cool as fvck to finally get ahold of a guitar that you'd been lusting over for years, but for it to be mint and with all the case candy AND tags? Really cool. Nice score man, congrats. :yesway:
