A little belated NGD . Drove to Mittagong and picked this up wednesday arvo . This site is where I found Ernie's work and led me to getting him to make me a guitar so wanted to add some more info for future customers of his .

Pic's are ernies .I took some but all you can see is my home studio floor needs a vacum like hell

specs are as per his and Josh's design

Body Swamp Ash with thick Wenge top (African), natural oil finish.

Neck - Wenge 3-piece, with Flamed Maple skunk stripe, and Carbon Fibre rod (twin) reinforcement. Ebony fretboard with Abalone offset dot inlays, 25 Dunlop 6100 Stainless Steel frets.

except I opted for Cpig set and 25.5 scale as I play in drop A. Dont need 27 . I'd rather keep the regular 6 strings at normal gauge and tension and sort out the low A than the other way around

So when I ordered from Ernie I was buying my 1st 7 string. I had played a few here and there and wanted 1 to add to my stable . I was looking at Ibanez prestige models online but couldnt find any 7's to try out . Lurking here I found his work and emailed him and then spoke to him. Sometimes you go with your gut and make a decision. I went with ET since I figured since I was also potentially buying an ibanez guitar blind I may as well go with a human I can speak to about it and actually asks about what I play and like

"who cares , so how the hell is it ? " you ask

really damn nice .Just super impressed with the build. feels like it was made by a human . Its tight and smooth . Being new to 7 the neck profile has been super easy to adjust to. I've clocked 7 or 8 hours on it in 3 days and its feeling super smooth and natural already. Still some way to go on being natural as a 6 but come a long way in a short time and I put that down to the playability . I cant stress how great the neck profile feels. And the weight and balance of the body is perfect

the Cpig set (offered up by Ernie and Josh) is a great choice for the wood and my style .

SS frets are just rocking and all the hardware is top notch .

anyways for Aussies ET Guitars is a great choice if your wanting something not off the shelf .I have played many over $2k fender and gibson guitars no where near the build quailty. not even close

Whats better than a dude in his workshop in Mittagong making your new guitar ???

Glad you like it bro! I thought the warpigs were going to be just what you needed. They should sit great in that guitar.

Thanks for the honest review Mongey! Appreciate that you detailed the strengths of the guitar itself, and not just blew wind up the luthiers arse.
Enjoy the guitar man, and drop into the store next time you're in town! Cheers.

I'd say its thin comapred to guitars I've owned and played allot .

At work now but about 3cm I'm guessing .

    Congrats. She looks beautiful.

He's making me a neck right now. I actually emailed him about a week ago curious about any progress, but he's yet to respond.
