The ESP Hex-6 was released back in 2011 in black satin and in 2012 as Natural Mahogany and PBS. For the past 8 years every time I reached page 11 in the 2012 Export models catalog I really wanted to get my hands on this V model.

Now two weeks ago a dream came through for me. I grabbed an obscure rare chance and scored myself a NOS Hex-6 PBS!!!

So simple layout and yet so welcome addition to my ever growing guitar collection.

I have be wanting an all mahogany non maple guitar for quite some time, now I finally got one and with a natural look finish although it's Padauk Brown Satin.

Smooth satin neck with a nice thin U shape. Feels awesome to play.

    Sounds absolutely great!

Eminent sustain and loud un-plugged sound

    Light weight mahogany

Surprised to see glow in the dark side markers

Here is a short full mix of random riffing going through 5 different modules for the Randall Synergy system, YouTube sucked some dB so you will have to turn up the volume to get the full sound:

man stop reminding me of that we used to have unrestricted access to NVs and SVs  what I'd give for an LTD run of the NV...

HNGD! beautiful guitar man. always loved how the Paduk Brown Satin looked on FXs, never realized they used the finish on the Hex series as well

Some gorgeous stuff you got there. Though that Mystique is what intrigues me most, still hunting for one for a decent price. Still mad they discontinued it in the E2 line.

Man, i’ve just watched Your vid by searching Vai module. Nice axes and amps. How do You compare MT15 with synergy/randall stuff?

Thanks dude! Really interesting that your search reached my video considering how new it is!! First plan was to do the obvious thing and use the Vai module for solo only, but when I heard how it sounded going through the ISO cab for recording I quickly made a few rhythm tracks just to show how it responded to palm muting. It sure has it's own sound, very strong sounding. This is just a short video though, I just re-entered the recording universe this past weekend so hopefully more videos will follow soon as I have many new things that I bought doing the last 2 years and I really like to do more videos showing sound samples for sure!

So could you tell any difference from the 5 modules in the video?

..and then on to you question. I have not spend that much time with the MT15 since I got it cause the Synergy/Randall stuff is taking most of my time at the moment. It's just so fun to switch between different sounding preamps. But I will get there and the plan is to do comparing videos across all the amps, please just have patience as I do have to go to work on daily basic as well. Same goes for the Peavey 6505 MH, both this and the MT15 are great sounding amps and lots of fun to play too.

Fucking amazing esp collection! How do you find the neck on the Hex? When i tried a nergal hex7 a few years ago it was a tank, so curious about the 6.

I would believe that it's based on his signature but this particular guitar is not a signature. Maybe ESP wanted to release his model as a regular standard series model.

Neck feels like a regular thin U nicely shaped. Close to if not the same as the ESP V-II STD FR. Fretboard is 43 mm at the nut, this could make it feel slightly "bigger".

What a great looking guitar! Those NVs look sick too! I’m gonna have the set a reverb follow for “ESP HEX” haha
