Well I finally pulled the trigger on one of these. Been wanting one for a while and it arrived today. Have to say I’m super impressed with it so far. Could stand to have the action lowered a bit but other than that it plays and sounds great. I had bought a Jackson JS22-7 to dip my toe into the 7 string game about a year ago and I’m happy to report I won’t be leaving the 7 game anytime soon!

These are really cool! I just wish they had slightly longer scale length :)

I was slightly concerned about the scale length too as it seems the reviews are pretty split. Some people say it’s fine and others complain it’s too short. After the time I spent playing it yesterday I have no complaints about the scale length, I think it feels great and didn’t notice any issues with it. I don’t tune crazy low either so I’m sure that helps. But even with the stock strings it feels good.

Wow, that is one white guitar! Looks awesome though! I see you got one with EMGs... I thought his signature models were switched over to Fishman Fluence pickups?

Thanks! I don’t think these have made the switch yet, or if they plan to. All of Matt’s Epiphones that he tours with are now loaded with Fishman though. I’d imagine they would make the change at some point, but I like EMGs so I’m totally good for now!

    Perfect!

Maybe just needs a red Atari style kill switch?

Yeah, I actually prefer EMGs. I have tried a couple different sets of Fishman pickups (six string sets) and they just aren't for me. I have a Jackson Stars Soloist loaded with a Modern set. They sound good, I just like EMGs more.

Congrats again on the cool guitar!

You are not alone. I think EMGs sound better too. And track faster

There's no best, just different. I'm sure it sounds banging. Clips please!

I have tried a couple different times, and ultimately the EMGs always seem to come out on top for me. I just wish they would make a 7 string version of the 58, as it is my favorite neck humbucker from EMG.

That would look good! It would match my 1984 Explorer!

The all-white aesthetic is so dope. Tried one of these before and it's probably one of the heaviest guitars I've ever tried.

    Happy NGD!

I never would have thought the total white would be good looking, until I actually saw it. I really like the white with black hardware look, but anymore I am really preferring chrome on a white guitar. Though I have a friend who has a single cut Washburn Parallaxe with the black on white look that is beautiful. I bet that the Snofall would look killer that way too.

I agree I’ve always been a white guitar/black hardware guy. But lately the chrome on white has really grown on me and this guitar really pulls it off well. I was a bit worried it was going to be too much but it really just works on this guitar. And I have to say it is fairly heavy but I was expecting worse haha. When I got it I though “well that’s not that bad” haha. Pretty sure my buddies 90’s LP is way heavier than this, and my Acrylic Mockingbird weighs a metric ton compared to this!

It is unreal how heavy those acrylic BC Rich guitars weighed. I remember picking one up and wondering how anyone could use that guitar live.

Have you actually weighed it to see how much it is?
