Had this beauty for 3 weeks now, absolutely stunning finish on a fantastic ESP model:

Admitted when I first saw the new Horizon-III model back in 2013 I rejected the headstock body combo, but this model has slightly grown on me ever since. Though it wasn't until the arrival of this year's new finish that it finally spoke to me. IMO the Black cherry finish really works wonder on this model!

Besides the struckture this guitar has all the features I would want in a versatile shred machine and it fills in all the spots I lost after returning the Sugizo model last year.

    - Awesome slim thin U neck profile, close to extra thin, feels absolutely great to play.

    - Really nice smooth finish, very close to the Sugizo model I had last year without being Custom shop level.

    - Nice resonance with a great clear singing tone and eminent sustain.

    - Really great balanced Bass response, I'm surprised how good the low-end is in this guitar for
being a maple neck thru alder body with maple cap construction.

    - Finish looks absolutely fantastic and the black hardware is just the right choice for this finish.

Tons of pics as usual, video to follow at some point..

So ESP official site says this model comes with mahogany body, but it comes in fact with an alder body, see pics. Japanese site confirms that it's in fact alder body! Funny part is that most dealers follows official(USA) site for specs on ESP models.

I love the H-3, I think it’s the most comfortable ESP shape. I wish the USA line would offer it at some point. That formula is awesome too. But what I really need to know is if that EOD88 is as gnarly as I imagine it to be. I just imagine playing downtuned doom riffs for days on that.

I agree the Horizon III body is super awesome, I'm glad to finally have this in my collection.

As for the EOD88 it's really bad ass!! What surprised me when I first turned it on was how good the amp sounded without engaging the FUZZ mode. The FUZZ mode is just crazy over the top! Even on small settings it's mad as hell. Lot of fun for sure. Biggest problem for me is that I have so much new gear that I can't keep up getting fully through all the stuff as we speak. Main focus at the moment is playing around with the MTS and synergy stuff in combination with my boost and FUZZ pedals.

Man, I saw the first pic of the three and thought, what a collection! Then I saw the family shot.

Sweet NGD, love how the white portion of the fade kinda melts into the binding. Sweet Formula as well, nice top.

That’s the impression I’ve got from the demos I’ve heard, the fuzz setting is a bit gimmicky but the amp was awesome by itself. Oh man, I didn’t even see the synergy on top. That’s another GAS item with a Savage module.

congrats!! these E-II fades are great.

The H3 and Mystique same to have an almost exact match in terms of body shape, but the H3 I played a few years ago had a very different neck shape than my Mystique had (before I had to sell it--wish I still had her). Are the neck shapes and width different on your H3 and Mystique?

Same width on both guitars but the Mystique is beefier and close to(if not) being an U profile while the Horizon III is very close to extra thin U profile. Both feels great non the less but sure I would prefer extra thin profil on all my guitars for consistency. Then again I actually like the U profile on the Mystique for traditional feel. ESP necks usually suits my hands quite good.

Wow, I take a week off and come back to some overwhelmingly GAS-inducing ESP posts.
    That looks awesome OP; HNGD!!
