I've had one carvin for about 5 years now, and having been through COUNTLESS other guitars -and keeping the Carvin this whole time- I figured it was time to belly up and order another :D

So, without further ado, I give to you my new baby! She is a Dragonburst finish with teal instead of green in the center, and also has blackburst edges. graphtech saddles, black hardware, active eq, alder body w/quilt maple top (deep triple step finish) and maple neck with tung-oiled back. The headstock is matched to the body, and the frets are med/jumbo stainless steel on an ebony board. I think that's all...haha. Lots of big pics, so sorry if it takes forever to load :scream: I took lots to capture different lighting, so there are a few that are so-so, and others that turned out better. My mouth is ferociously bleeding still from my 11am wisdom teeth removal, so I think I did okay for the circumstances  Enjoy!!

Congrats dude!! That's an awesome guitar!! :hbang:

What is the option you select to get an all maple neck?? I can only find the neck options to be one wood with 2 stripes of something else.

Yes, I can control world domination, John Petrucci, and the weather with all my knobs.

Really, though, it is an active EQ system. The volume is push/pull, which activates the active when pushed down. The bottom two are high/low boost/cut, the upper two are volume and tone control. The switches are for splitting the coils of the humbuckers, and also changing the polarity. I have the same setup on my other carvin, and I've found it extremely useful on many levels: a) cutting the lows and boosting the highs is great for a 'gain boost,' or like hitting the front of the amp like a TS pedal. It doesn't add a lot of gain, but it tightens up the frequency of the muddy Carvin pups :yesway:. B) you can make the guitar sound virtually like an acoustic by boosting the lows AND highs, which sounds amazing for cleans!

Thanks for all the comments, too! I will dig up some pics of Matt's and Misha's guitars....just hold on. One fucking minute. God damn it.

Edit: here is Matt's and Misha's old ones. His pics are much brighter than mine, and I do have to admit mine does look more 'teal' in person.

    and again, here is mine:

and one more to show the differences in the rounded and non-rounded body sides.
