Picked up this box+guitar from a dude who was selling it on Craigslist, on behalf of his brother who hasn't played 7s since Korn was popular. Hm... Original Factory box, you say? Made in Japan, you say... VK, you say... *GASP* DUNDUNDUNNNNNN Well, I went to pick it up with my other RG7's Case in tow. There we are. Whew. Thought I lost it for a second. Yes, that's a shallow gouge on the front . Might put a sticker or something over it, or just let it sit. Doesn't affect tone, so doesn't affect me. This guitar has seen lots of play, and the chips show it. The original owner was 11 when he received it. About as bad as my old 570 was when I got it. No locking pads, but the tuners are all in great shape, need(ed) to be tightened, though. Serial F99 02XXX (Early 99, maybe a late 98?) The back seems to be in good shape, a few small chips. Trem is beautiful, no chips, scratches, or tarnishes, just dust. Everything seems to check out... Yep, perfect. (There was actually still sawdust in the pocket from production) My preferred string gauge Set up again, ready to rock. The best part? $225 . He was asking $250 but I got a discount on the grounds that I'd need to go buy some pads for the locking nut.
