Had this for a while, but I'm finally done modding it. It started life as a Haeden ELS 8. The only thing that's left of it is the body and neck. Once I figured out that the neck was actually great, I decided to take the plunge to make it worth playing. The frets only needed a small amount of leveling work. The terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE, pickups had to go. A VHII went in the neck, M8 in the bridge. Enlarged the bridge pickup rout a bit to get it closer to the bridge in the process. The tuners are now Hipshot locking, the nut is brass, and the bridge is now a Hipshot. Completely rewired it as well, with a 5 way switch and Dunlop 500k pot. This was my first time making a pickguard, but I'm fairly happy with how it turned out. She's definitely a player now!

Thanks guys! The pickguard is just 5mm sanded plywood. The grain was nice and even.

This is good beta, I just ordered a Jackson Dinky 8 to do similar, upgrade pickups, tuners and nut, then decide what else it needs. It's a multiscale so pickups choices are limited.

The pickguard is f*cking sick. Really good job on it, that guitar looks mean.
