This is my first NGD post on this site. I ordered this Strandberg Boden 8 guitar through Wright Tone Guitars in late June and received this guitar late Nov. This is the production model through Washburn. I'm pretty satisfied with the build quality of this guitar. I think the top is pretty amazing and the pickups combination goes well with this guitar (although I usually like a middle single coil pickup and be able to split). Unplugged it sounds very loud and the tone is great through my Fender Hot Rod amp. Have not gigged with this yet but played it a practice settings with a band and it held up pretty well. I'm pretty impressed with this build quality, I probably would not need a MTM guitar. At least that is what I'm saying now...

The neck is 5-pc (3x) Caribbean Rosewood neck with Carbon Fiber/(2x) Maple fillets. The fingerboard is Ebony.

Man that thing is gorgeous, major congrats! Whereabouts in DC are you located? We might need to get together as I REALLY want to try out the Endurneck and you don't seem to be too far from here! :D I can bring some nice stuff too. ;)

Check the Strandberg website - around $3350. Is the ebony fretboard evenly stained? No bright spots etc?

It's evenly stained for the most part. I would say 98-99% evenly stained...Honestly I did not noticed until it was brought up. The light spots are very slight and hardly noticeable. My attention to that particular detail is not high. I have Warwick Thumb Bass and Corvette Frettless with Ebony and I remember there some slight spots on those also.

Thank you! That's great, a tiny bit of lighter areas is sometimes even better - gives character and doesn't make it look plastic. Is there any chance you could take a picture of the side dot markers? I've noticed this not long ago, but it seems they are sort of off above the 12th fret even on the Washburn models... I don't know if that's on purpose because of the multiscale? They seem a bit early, maybe so you hit the right spot on the higher strings not as much on the lower ones above the 12 fret? Anyone can chime in on this?

I can take some pics later but they are similar to side markers displayed on the strandberg site:

    Here's another link explaining multiscale:
