That's lovely! HNGD!
Looks rad, is it uncomfortable with no arm bevel?
I'm going to be labeled as a hater here (especially since this is a Blackmachine thread), but how can people honestly jive with that? It looks fairly nice and I'm sure it plays and sounds great too, I'm not hitting on those points. What bothers me (quite a lot) is how is that cavity cover not recessed and how are those protruding bolts holding the back-plate acceptable? These would snag on anything and everything if you are playing standing...
The trem plates on the EBMM JPs aren't recessed either
The guitar is so thin that if you recessed that cover, it would touch the controls inside. I see what you're saying, but I have not had any issues with it. I play with my guitar very high up on my chest.
I also do the majority of my practice standing, since it helps with the inevitability of playing it all live when gigging. I'd say the only time I play while sitting is if I'm writing or learning something.
Thank you for the comment though, as I'm sure many have thought the same thing.
And incase anyone was wondering, the small flip switch was originally to reverse phase the pickups, but is currently wired as a kill switch.
Congrats bro she looks amazing!
Oh shit... Surge...
Also... Very nice axe.
how thin is yours? Ive read on the site 32mm (1.25") but they always look way thinner than that
Friends like yours are hard to find.
Doug builds amazing guitars!
Man, i've seen some pretty necks in my time - wenge, purple heart, mahogany, roasted maple...but SNAKEWOOD. I can just tell by the pictures it has a super unique tone, or at the very least, contributes a good bit to the tone of this guitar and has a pretty unique feel to it. More guitars need to be made with this, it looks so rad!
The Snakewood fretboard looks amazing!!
that is seriously so sexy... is that a volume knob missing though?
I take the tone knobs off of any guitar I play a lot, since I always keep it at 10.
Unless that guitar is under an inch thick, there are piles of electronics that can be used and still recess the control cover 1/8 of an inch.
Nifty looking guitar! I like the bridge plate with the Wilkinson saddles and that top is pretty spectacular.
Perfect 6 string. Sexually stimulating wood combination. Damn. You are one lucky dude to get a hold of that axe! HNGD on every level of epic!
Wow, that looks amazing and I'm sure it plays even better! Happy NGD man!
