Hi all, new to the forums :]
is there no way to edit my own post? imgur pics keep breaking
No after an hour, and use something else than imgur. This should work and doesn't require an account https://postimages.org/
Your pics do load, but only after doing a quote to post window. Nice axe
gotcha, thanks mang :]
thanks! appreciate you quoting the pics, gonna throw them here again with a different host so they load properly.
if it gets too messy could a mod please clean up this thread? thanks :]
That thing looks really great! I hope it plays as well as it looks! I loved my Agile guitars and always had great luck with them. Congrats!
Wow, that looks great! What are the pickups and hardware?
Any thoughts on the guitar yet? How does it sound? How does it play? That top looks phenomenal. Standard tuning or something else?
Man that’s a badass looking guitar, really dig that!
That's a fine looking axe sir. Congrats!
Looks awesome. What are the pickups?
Great looking guitar! I'd say the photos on Agile's website don't make it look so inviting but your photos showcase it a lot better! Hope it plays and sounds as good as it looks!
thanks for the kind words all! Ill leave this comment as a general reply so I dont have to quote all of you and clog this up :]
this is my 2nd 7string, Im upgrading from a Jackson JS22-7 and this guitar is a huge upgrade in every single way
I have it tuned to drop A for now,
Pickups are passive Cepheus humbuckers (Agile's house brand) - they don't sound amazing and I will definitely replace them when I find decently priced slanted pickups. they sound pretty good to my untrained ear but are a little muddy, but definitely passable and better than the stock pickups in my Jackson
Grover 18-1 tuners
Bridge - I couldn't actually find any info on what bridge comes with this guitar stock, it seems to be either a hipshot or a hipshot knockoff. very comfortable for my picking hand, I havent had the guitar long enough to comment on the stability yet
the fan is very comfortable, it feels very natural and my transition was almost instant. the neck is a beautiful 5 piece and right around the same thickness as my Jackson. upper fret access is really good too imo. I love the way the body bevels look and the back is shaped perfectly for my body, its very comfortable to sit and play. I have found myself hitting the volume knob accidentally on some hard down picks but Ill learn to adjust for that
Nice score man, it looks really good in (better than rondo's website) photos
thanks a lot! agreed, really makes me wonder what some other guitars on the site might look like in person
How's the neck width at the nut? IIRC, these were a bit more narrow than the other fanned models.
Here are the specs -
Width of the neck at the nut: 1 7/8"
Width of the neck at the 22nd fret: 2 3/16"
Neck profile: 21 1/2 mm at the first fret and 22 mm at the 12th fret
Hope that helps :] How does that stack up with the others? I don't really know much about fanned guitars in general yet
Very nice! Love the color. Welcome too!
