    Good morning forum mates!

Here I introduce my new (used) guitar, an Agile Interceptor Pro 827 Lizardburst Flame with some cool features:
    - Kahler Hybrid trem
    - Maple fingerboard
    - Cepheus passive pickups + Seymour Duncan Blackout preamp

The guitar plays very well, and with the Blackout preamp has balls enough to drive the amps. The bad point?. Weight....need strong back to handle, and firm arm on neck side. The Kahler doesn't accept bass strings due the ball end...they don't fit.

Good point: playability....fast, smooth. Action: low without buzz. Not as lower as my RG8, but I'm wroking on it. Adjustment: with Kahler I can exactly adjust every detail of each string. Sound: It is darker than I was expecting from a maple bolt-on neck with maple fingerboard an active PU's. Pretty heavy, actually. The guy that sold to me said that the Blackout preamp was an special order to RondoMusic. Truss rod: double truss rod:hbang:. Look: for me it looks amazing!!

Aaaaaand now...the pictures you're waiting for:

You could special order strings from circle k that could fit in the kahler. You won't regret it.

Forgive my ignorance, but what's that SD thingy inside there with the 9 volt attached to it?

That's the Blackout preamp which "make your passive pickups actives".

Its an active preamp for passive pickups.

    Hi!

    Thank you all mates.

About the question, that Zhysick gently replied, is the Blackout modular preamp:

    The Blackouts Modular Preamp

About the strings...the guys of Circle K told me that all their guitar string, including the 0.106 come with guitar ball end :bowdown:...so I'll prepare both machines to D# tuning :nuts:

Very interested to hear the Cepheus 8's w/ that preamp. I've been debating installing one in my septor. Be cool if I could hear it before hand.

Looks great, congrats on the acquisition! Lizardburst is probably one of my favorite finishes that Rondo offers, along with Oceanburst. Love the green with the maple board too.

I too am curious how the Blackouts sound with and without the preamp.

Agile Interceptor 827 vs Ibanez RG8 - YouTube

I made this video only for me, because the RG8 on this vid ha a terrible setup, but what the hell, here it is!.
Don't expect a shredder or even a good player. As all my vids, they're only for gear tone testing purposes

What do you think of the neck profile/thickness? I've heard and read a lot about agile necks being massive.

Well, definitely is thicker than RG8's. For my small hands is ok, but on the limit of being uncomfortable. RG8's for example, is more plain D, while this is more D to C profile shape.

The guitar is a plain Ibanez RG8 (389 euro) with some stickers on it, including the "J.Custom" sticker logo (I think it was 6 euro for 3 stickers). It's a kind of joke because my name is Juanma, so that's my "Juanma Custom"-> "J.Custom":nuts:
