Nice man. Gotoh 510? That's a great bridge, it doesn't have the range of a Floyd (or a Wilkinson vS100 or something), but it's very stable, smooth, and the arm holder is awesome. I picked up a Suhr with one a few months back and I love it.

    Congrats!!

My local music store has one of these in Burgundy Mist Metallic (freakin' love that color) and it is really really good. The only thing I could find on it was some roughness on the headstock, but otherwise it was top-notch. I want it so bad, but I just blew all my money on my Fender FSR Roasted Maple American Pro HSS Strat in Daphne Blue.

I also played an HSS DK24 (orange) and the neck was thinner, especially near the nut, like Ibanez Prestige thin. The HH DK24 in Burgundy Mist though was more consistent in thickness across the neck and much more comfortable. I am assuming you can chalk that up to variation from neck to neck, someone perhaps went a little too far sanding that orange HSS near the nut.

Enjoy that beauty! Love the specs on these and the build quality is much better than the Jackson Pro series, and even Mexican Fenders.

I can attest to that. Kinda making me look differently at my schecters. I wont get rid of them until charvel makes neck thrus which we know will never happen unless it is a limited run at that

The 510s are quality. I’d like to get my hands on the new bridge on the Pete Thorn model with locks on it. Even if I’m about as good at using a Trem as a baboon with parkinson’s.

Eh, I'm sure it's nice, but locks are probably not necessary. The 510 has a fairly "vintage" range, and with locking tuners and a well-cut nut (tusq, probably, I'll have to check the spec sheet though) mine's been rock-steady.

Happy to see others with these! I got mine a few weeks ago in the Burgundy Mist and I absolutely love it. Still floored by the quality and features for how little I paid. The only minor issue with mine are the fret ends being slightly sharp, but I'd be really nit picking by saying that. Still debating on changing the pickups though especially since I never use the Parallel switch. They sometimes sound amazing while other times they don't sound that great. But by far my favorite part is the neck.... damn that neck not only looks amazing, but the profile is one of the comfiest necks I've ever played.

The last two frets on the bass side are sharp for me. Also i noticed that there is a weird white discoloration around the 22-24 fret area. Some tool marks on the headstock and such.

Other than that the neck is so fuckin comfy. I know it is a speed neck or a modified C, but is it more like ibanez necks?

It's nothing like any Ibanez I've ever played. If anything it's very similar to a few Music Man necks I've played. The shape is much in between a EBMM JP neck and a Kiesel. Out of my collections it's definitely the thickest neck of the bunch, but the shoulders are just so perfect.

From what I understand the way its set up on Pete's guitars there's quite a bit more range on it unlike the 510 while still looking like a vintage bridge. He was using it for some VH like acrobatics on a youtube video. No locking nut, and it was coming right back to pitch like a FR.
