So I got bored during my 3 month furlough, and started ordering a ton of stuff online, including this Japanese '84 Greco MTV80 (or maybe an MTV85?). It took 2 months to get it from Russia to Denmark, with all the lockdowns, but it was well worth the wait.
Spec-wise, I mostly have no idea, since all brochures I can find on it are in Japanese. Possibly made at Fuji-Gen. Bridge is a USA-made Kahler 2320. More importantly, it's red - in some light, almost pink.
I honestly didn't expect anything in terms of sound or playability from this guitar, but it is very cool, especially for how little it cost me. It plays well, it sounds good, and all the hardware and electronics work. It is a bit noisier than my Vigier and Ibanez', but nothing excessive.
The Kahler is my first experience with them, and it definitely feels different to OFRs and Edges, but not in a bad way. Setup was pretty easy, and it works as it should, and stays in tune.
Maybe I'll change the pickups at some point, but for now they're fine. Already on the look-out for a matching Greco Explorer...

My gf’s uncle has a 85 custom ordered Gibson v (that I’m hoping to inherit)
At some point) that looks exactly like that! Very nice.

Very cool. Pretty neat that it could possibly be made in Fuji-Gen. Nice find and congrats!

Greco guitars from the 70s-90s were Fuji-Gen.
