I placed a full custom order a little over three months ago with Dood Craft Guitars for a 7-string baritone. These were the specs...

Iceman basswood body and maple neck
    28.5" scale
Hipshot locking tuners & Ibby HM bridge
Single Seymour Duncan Black Winter bridge pickup
    Volume and tone pots
    Fat C-shaped neck
    Small SS frets

Here are some pics Dood Craft, aka James Nelson, sent me.

Must say this has been a 100% positive experience from start to finish. James kept me updated throughout the building process with regularly sent pms and pics on the status of my build. What's more, he made the exact guitar I'd asked him to in the time he said he could do it in.

As for the guitar itself, quality is on par with my Kiesel DC700. Which says a lot, as that guitar is really nice. Tuning stability is, so far, excellent. Frets are smooth and polished. Ergonomics spot on for my personal tastes... Everything just feels right on this guitar, especially that Hipshot Ibby HM bridge. The only thing I was apprehensive about was how the Black Winter was going to sound in the basswood body/baritone maple neck combo. Turns out it was a really, really good choice.

for any interested parties here's Dood Craft/Jame's link.

I love it, I’ve always loved the Iceman shape. Beautiful finish and color on that. :yesway:

Holy shit! I've been wanting an Iceman bass and was literally just about to check prices on the used market and then I see this. That's gorgeous, dude. Congratulations.

This pic was taken before it got buffed. But yeah, that flame really popped once it got hit with the stain.

Here are a couple of pics I took of it at home which I hope will show off that flat, smooth finish.

And thank everyone for the likes and the kind words about the build. Turned out to be a great experience all around. So much so that I'm planning my second build with him now. ;)

I should add that I didn't come up with that color myself. I'd seen it used on another of his builds, and told him I had to have it on mine. I like to call it seaweedburst. The grain structure of the basswood really makes it pop too.

@sleewell I'm not really digging mahogany and ash for lower tunings, as they tend to sound too flubby and mid-honky to me. Basswood though.... ;)

@jephjacques Balances pretty well actually thanks to the relatively wide spacing of the strap knobs.

Very nice. My cousin had gotten a messed up iceman from a local store and when he took it in there, they let him keep it as a wall ornament, and let him pick out something of equal value. Always loved that guitar, even though it was unplayable
