    Hello all!

So I've never posted a thread here before - been lurking here and lusting after all the sexiness that can be found in the Standard, Extended Range & Seven String sections - but thought it to be appropriate that until I own a 7 then I was introduce myself. Well, that day came today as I walked into my local music store and saw they had stocked this:

    :yesway:
    The 2010 Ibanez RG7321!!!

While I'd wanted to save up for something more expensive and seemingly better quality, when I first strummed this thing I was surprised.

^See that new trem? They are BADASS. Miles better than the old strat-styled ones....I regret getting my rg321mh before the new 2010 models came out. Eh well, variety is the spice of life

They had this and the green Apex on the wall - while the Apex slayed on rhythm (mahogany body) this one just chugged and chugged. :hbang:The neck feels so incredibly smooth - way softer shoulders than the Apex. It literally feels like the 7th string isn't there - the way a 7 string should feel like, in my opinion. I love Schecters and the way they play, but Ibanez has them beat in this field.

The old 7321's I've played pale in comparison to this one. Sure there's some indention marks near where the frets were placed, but you'll find that on every indonesian Ibby. The fretwork however seems a lil' bit better - no sharp edges to be found - and the rosewood on the fretboard comes lookin' all nice and shiny, not dry and rough. This thing I think is the coolest:

No more screwing and unscrewing! :agreed:

As usual, the stock pickups are utter trash. That isn't stopping me from ordering some new pups though...whatd'yall say I should choose for it, maybe blazes or something with a PAF pro? I love how the PAF pro sounds in the neck of the apex, not so much the bridge though. Need it to be more tight and defined. Of course if I had a little bit more dough i'd shell out for some BKP's and be done with it. But I think everyone here who doesn't own a pair in their guits would like that.....

All in all, this is a fucking killer guitar for $400 (I paid $387 for mine :metal:). It feels and plays solid but weighs a little less than my LTD (not pictured), floyd rose and all. I'm planning on doing a video/cover once I drop new pickups in since the stock ones obviously do not do this guitar justice. I haven't seen any of these reviewed lately, as I've tried to research how the new 2010 7321's turned out. Well....once I saw this and played it, there was no going back. So once again, hello all. I'm glad to be apart of this fantastic forum :wavey:

Not going to lie, I was thinking 'well that 7321 looks pretty good...hmmm...RGA-' then the true erection began. I have an rga121 and I WANT THAT ONE TOO. But nice score

Interesting, I am pretty keen on this guitar now. The thing I hated about the previous one was the bridge.

I had a crunch lab bridge and air norton neck in my old 7321 and I was able to dial in a great heavy chugging tone(if that's what you're looking for). I was also able to get a real sweet lead tone. You shouldn't have any problems as the 6505's are fairly easy to dial in compared to say my old Powerball, but I would most definitely consider the aforementioned dimarzio's. They aren't too pricey, and sound pretty good in basswood. I was debating on Blazes as well, but got such a great deal on the CL/AN , that I ended up going that route. I think Empyrean had blazes in his 7321, you might wanna check out his music and see if you like that tone.

Nice score. I adore my modded 7321. Look forward to seeing what you do with yours. :yesway:

Grrrr... I wish my local stores would stock sevens... But here in Sweden it's blasphemy to have 7s hanging in the shops it seems :wallbash:

Awesome find though, might wanna replace the original pups as nothing I've heard of them was very impressive. And I LOVE that new bridge they got for 2010!

Are those cabs's in the two pictures (Opion and the other lad) the Orange rips that some guy on Ebay makes for a lot less than actual orange cabs? I remember people discussing this a while back when talking about what amp/cab combination best captures the low end of ERG's... I'd be interested to know if this is the cab people were discussing.

    Many thanks:metal:
