Saw a guy let one go in excellent condition for $75... I guess some people think "it's old, it must not be worth much"... Congrats on your new guitar.

Only thing that sucks is that I wasn't able to snatch it quick enough. Even crazier is I once saw an RG2120x go for $120 (super rare prestige), I messaged the guy after he sold it asking him why he sold it so cheap... He said he bought it for $30 at a yard sale, and had no idea. I later saw someone else re-selling it for $1,000. This happens too often

We're finally in an era where 90s ibanez guitars are appreciating in value , these 7620s are climbing between 8-900 on average and soon that number will climb to 1k+ easily. You got a hell of a score man !!! Welcome to the elite club of 7620 owners and collectors

Thanks bro! I'm still blown away by the deal haha. I was wondering why the prices were going up so much lately. I regret getting rid of my prior 2 :/ but hopefully I can score another one here before I leave.

TBH I don't remember a time since I started playing where used 90s Ibanez guitars weren't more expensive on the used market than the year prior.

Gone are the days (Except OP) of $300 RG570 in perfect condition with case pawn shop finds :(

I definitely love it! I had a better one back in the day that I truly regret getting rid of, but this one is fantastic and just needs some TLC. I wonder, does any (or maybe yourself) have experience with the RG7420Z-WK? There is one for sale here for less than $500, but it isn't MIJ (MII) but it looks nice haha.

not totally gone... there is still one hope.. the used section of guitars centers website. I got a damn near minty 97 rg7620 for 410$ + shipping like 6 months ago , and often ill see a 350$ rg570 or similar mij with original edge. the trick is to check daily. thankfully those guitar center guys sometimes undervalue old guitars or guitars theyre unsure of the model beyond "rg"

Yep, deals are still around. Shit, just a few days ago music-go-round had a 1999 RG7421 with upgraded seymour duncans in what seemed to be near mint condition for $299. But yes, you have to religiously check this shit if you want a deal. It's fun when you're poor, but just a waste of time if you're not haha

theyre already pushing 30 years old once theyre 40-50 years old I doubt theyll be worth less than 1k. the 90's were a historic decade for ibanez after all. vintage late 80's 90's ibanez to the metal community is what vintage 60's les pauls and fenders are to their respected communities in many ways.
