1984 Ibanez DT-380 Picked this up really cheap a while ago. All original and pretty clean. One ding on the wing.

Also just picked up a 80s Ibanez SD9 Sonic Distortion to go with it.

Dayum. That thing is nice. I'm not a fan of the big yellow tiger stripes, but i am loving everything else on there. I wish I could get myself a destroyer...

Out of all the finishes that you could have gone for a blue and yellow tiger was what was available. :metal:

I also have an 81 DT-50 to go with this one. Can't wait to add a few more DTs to the collection (Adrian Smith fan).

I sold this to Bret at the SEGAS show.
I saw one of his destroyer builds and told him I had the DT-380 in the car and I would sell it for drinking and whoring money and he took the bait lol.

That is a surprisingly sweet little guitar in pretty damned good shape and i'm glad he likes it. I know I certainly dig his product.

    Me likey. :agreed:

I wonder how those compare to the new X-series Destroyers with the D Activator X's in them.

I love the 80's DT series. I suppose I'm biased, but nothing screams "hair metal" like an 80's Ibanez X or Destroyer model.

I do love a lot of the older Ibanez models. They look pretty outrageous. Congrats!

Definitely not as modern or "hardcore" as the never Destroyers.

The neck is a fairly chunky C shape and the frets are medium. The Pickups are dual rail but closer to a hot PAF in output. The neck heel is like a strat.

It really comes alive with a Marshally type amp though. The new Destroyers are beasts though.
