I recently purchased an Agile seven string, snd it's pretty great so far. But I'm also in the market for an eight, and I plan on collecting LOTS of guitars of the same brand. So, I've got my eyes on either a Septor 8 or the RG8. With room to get more and collect others, which brand would you pick?⛹.

I've really enjoyed my Agile. So I'd have to side with that. I'd consider Schecter too if I were you.

I would vote for Agile as well. I have two and love them. At the price point, I think you get more for your money out of the Agile. :2c:

Agile - I own an agile 8 and an rg8 and they're both good guitars, but the agile is a SOLID step above.

Figured as much, well alright! I'm excited for my next purchase, first a Septor 8, then an intrepid, then maybe a custom, a fan fret, the GAS is real lmao

As much as I love Agile (I have an Interceptor 7 and one of Rondo's nylon string acoustics), I am an Ibanez fanboy first (I have 4, soon to be 5). If you do intend to buy a lot of the same brand as you said, once you break into Prestige level Ibanez, you won't go back. Agile just doesn't have guitars at that level. Buying high-quality professional instruments used is way better than going brand-new mid-grade for the same price! I wish I learned that sooner. Personally I'd take one super nice Prestige Ibby over 3 Agiles.

Bro, I still have to do a NGD, but my custom agile is amazing. I'm sure the quality is about on par with other WMI Ibby's but stainless steel frets, neckthrough, and maple fretboards make me love the thing. It's amazing, but it won't be a prestige level instrument.

Since we're not talking about Prestige Ibby, I'm gonna echo the Agile choice as well. Great guitars. I have two and plan on getting at least 3-4 more once I'm out of school hahah.

Yeah for me, once I'm at prestige prices I have to look elsewhere as the necks are just a bit too thin for my liking. So I always preface my statements, the prestiges are amazing, just not my cup of tea. Except the wizard 3 neck. God I wish that wasn't treated as the "cheap/import" neck. It's so perfect.

I have an Agile Intrepid Pro 828 and have played an Ibanez RG8 and a few Schecters. I would definitely go with the Agile. I think they make great guitars for the price. I haven't played any 8 string under a $1000.00 USD that are superior to them.
