This was kept a secret, even from me, and I’ve gotten the scoop on pretty much every release since Devin started playing with them. New album is different from almost everything they’ve done, and, to me, sounds like it expands on the direction they went with Observer. Less core, more sludge/grind/doom influence. Nearly through my first listen, and I’ve already purchased the 12”, despite not collecting vinyl anymore. PEEP IT!

    Track list:
    1. Our
    2. Only
    3. Sin
    4. Was
    5. Giving
    6. Them
    7. Names

    FUCK YES.
Beyond excited for this. Ever since I heard Observer I've wanted to hear them expand on that style. The beginning of the new song almost doesn't even sound like TAS. For sure grabbing the black and white LP.

I snagged the red one, which apparently sold out quick. So stoked on it. It gets better with each listen.

Oof, this is nasty and ugly and awesome.

Down to the wire, but this is near-AotY material.

Haven't been too fond of the new stuff since DL left the band, but they've had a few good riffs and songs here and there. Two favorites from this is "Was" and "Them."Overall,it's still a "meh" from me,but I'm glad they're finally progressing their sound.

I'm guessing the next surprised EPs are "A", "T" and "H".

Either way, these surprise releases has been some of their best stuff. "It Comes In Waves" snuck into my top 10 at the last minute last year.

Acacia Strain was always one of the few bands I almost purposely wouldn't listen too cause my only exposure was Tactical Nuke and the like (basically trying to be dummy heavy but it didn't really work, I was more into beatdown/slam at the time), but following The Depression Sessions I've been listening to them more and more and loving it.

This album and the recent singles are the fuggin' bees-knees! It Comes In Waves is hands-down my favorite tunes they've put out!
