Sadly the same kind of slick "pop death metal" sound going but Vogg's tone sounds pretty good, shame he doesn't actually play RIFFS worth a toot with it.

Guitars are playing interesting enough but they somehow sound even worse than on Pinnacle of Bedlam; Hyper BPM triggered drums don'y really fit either. Frank doesn't sound a 10th as present (even through the alien warlord vocoder filter) than he did on his guest track on Meta

Fetus kills it with this though, bringing back their earlier tone and just plain old moshy ass beating

New Decap feels very nu metal to me. The intro is straight Limp Bizkit and the cover art also screams mid-90s. Didn't make me puke as much as Blood Mantra, but it's still worse than Carnival, and lightyears below their classics.
The actual song doesn't have a structure and makes pretty much no sense. Not hyped.

That Decapitated fills me with sorrow, and not in the good way like listening to October Tide on a winter's day.

But there's a lifetimes worth of killer riffs on Winds of Creation alone, can't expect him to keep it up for ever.

e: Never listened to Dying Fetus at all but I really like that on about 2:27 he goes back into a blastbeat and doesn't really make the first couple of snare hits with any great volume and they LEFT IT IN rather than making everything a robotic uniform volume with no human element.

Gosh, I freaking love Dying Fetus. One of my all time favorite bands. I'm aware that the new song is "more of the same", but it's not a bad thing at all 'cause they always kicked ass and stayed consistent. Can't wait for the new album!

I felt it had a very standard structure. I get that Vogg is going for sheer energy with the riffs, but they could have done with more different tails for each riff. The drummer may as well be a drum machine, he's not a tech-death guy at all, and a bit more intricacy from him would prevent the key problem with Blood Mantra - which was that it was Vogg's riffs, a game vocalist, and nothing to complement the two. Also, Blood Mantra felt half-finished. I'm hoping this one will be better.

    Carnival was banging.

Dying Fetus's new song is the perfect combination of technical and brutal. I enjoyed the beginning part of the song where they had sweep tapping and on the 1:00 mark or so when they had some killer sweeps and or arpeggios (could be either). I greatly enjoy it.

That new Suffo and Dying Fetus is pretty decent.

That new Decapitated makes me sad as .... though honestly... How do you go from Winds of Creation to this...

Something a bit more old-school would suit me better.

I can see all the fuss about the new Decapitated track, but I'm ok with it. I enjoyed the simplistic drumming with a nice snare and Vogg still has some good licks/flourishes.

New Dying Fetus is badass :metal:

I've never listened to Decapitated and didn't understand why you guys were so disappointed with that new song..then I listen to Winds of Creation.

The new Suffo song didn't do anything for me.

Have never listened to Dying Fetus, but I thought that new song was pretty good.

Everything up to and including Organic Hallucinosis is 5 star gold. Carnival is Forever is also awesome and has some of my favourite death metal lyrics of all-time - they were actually written by someone outside the band - definitely an intense and incredible experience.

    Now listen to Nihility

From a rhythm player/riffers' standpoint early Decap is absolutely essential.
