    Bumpity.

In my humble opinion, this is the best thing Steven Wilson has recorded since "Fear of a Blank Planet." It's just stellar.

I'm catching him at both MA dates. If it's anywhere near as good as the Raven tour - which I'm sure it will - it's going to be phenomenal. Shame about Guthrie and Marco though.

Somehow, the Palladium is walking distance from my home and I had no idea that he was playing anywhere else in MA than Berklee. Problem solved!

Worth a bump. Caught both MA shows last week- both top notch performances. No Marco or Guthrie but their replacements acquitted themselves nicely. The video content played during the show definitely helps make sense of the new material, and it's almost an embarrassment of riches to have a band playing such great material so tight.

I just caught him last night at the DC show. Spectacular. Ancestral is still my favourite track, but this is in my top 3 albums of the year so far, and I think he is at an absolute peak in his songcraft. Even his wankynoodlecraft sounds perfectly chosen. (Case in point: the keyboard solo followed by the guitar solo in Home Invasion.)

I finally found an illegal YouTube stream of this and it turned out to be excellent. I still prefer his less proggy stuff but he seems to have found a way to include all his different influences without sounding too noodly. And I wish I had gone to that DC show now :(

The show at Berklee was a beautiful thing. Worcester was great too.

That show may have included the first and only time an Alanis Morissette song has been played on Berklee premises.

Yup we witnessed history. And he absolutely killed it.

Going to see the show in San Francisco soon, in like two weeks. No Guthrie or Marco, but I'm still really excited to see it! I'm looking to see how the guitarist handles Guthrie's solo parts.

If any guitarist is irreplaceable, it's Guthrie. That being said, Dave is a great player in his own right. Also, Craig was a joy to watch on drums. He's technically on par with Marco and Gavin but has his own style.

I thought the guitarist totally nailed it. Especially the guitar solo after the synth solo (in Home Invasion?).
