    I usually consider any "odd" time signiature whose numerator is not prime to be redundant, but that's just me. sounds pretty good though :)

    I hate to be the one to point it out, but I think you might be unconsciously borrowing from Meshuggah. This sounds near enough identical to Re-Inanimate in the riff department except a wee bit faster and slightly different rhythm; and that high bit is used all over the Catch Thirty-Three album.
    It sounds cool man, it just sounds a bit too similar for my liking. But unconscious borrowing is something everyone goes through at one point or another so I wouldn't sweat it.

    I haven't listened to that record in years lol.
    I knew it sounds like meshuggah but this is crazy :lol:
    And I thought I came up with a cool riff :(

    I think that this is a better example of a complex hemiola than it is of true mixed meter. It grooves to a pulse, and is jostled around, but there is always a quarter note backing the beat. It's a good effect, but if you want to hear some true mixed meter:
