Same, soldier field in Chicago for me. Been postponed enough and dunno if I can handle any more heh.
I’ll be there also, chicago. I’m getting married early next year and this was the best man’s “wedding gift” for me, lol.

So I'm in the process of listening to the album. It's definitely got some old-school Herzeleid/Sehnsucht vibes (heck, even the guitar tone reminds me of Herzeleid) with the more modern "moody" tracks like on LIFAD and untitled.

EDIT: Actually it sounds like a good portion is tune down to B. Idk if it's a detuned guitar or them finally busting out a 7-string, since I know Richard has used one briefly in the past. I'm leaning more towards a detuned 6 string guitar since it sounds like drop B.

I think the opener's the best track, but overall it's a surprisingly varied album..

ALSO EDIT: One thing I noticed is that Till's vocals are autotuned to hell and back on Giftig, but its so obvious that I'm assuming they did it as an effect since it sounds like they also did weird vocal effects through the song.

Dicke Titten fuk yea! :D

Initial thoughts are I'm digging this more than I thought I would. I would have picked other songs for the singles.

So far the concensus is that this is better than the last album, and I'd agree. The only songs I go back to on the last album are Radio and Deutschland while this one has more memorable tracks for sure.

Mm ya I thought Deutschland was very impressive, especially when it dropped with the video, and Radio also good. Then the album was a bit uneven in quality, though I liked Zeig dich a lot.

This one seems more consistent even if the singles disappointed me a little.

But.... the autotune..... Urrhhh I'm not sure... It makes me cringe. I hope I can warm up to it. Do they think they're Cher or something, hm?

It’s somewhere in the middle for me right now, gotta give it a few spins. The last two albums were like this also. The production on these albums just isn’t as “in your face” as the past albums. The tone is always fantastic on the guitars, but they sit way back compared to reise reise and rosenrot and before.

The guitars definitely sound more up on this album at least. But it sounds like Paul's Sansamp is mixed higher on this album. Like I said earlier, the guitar tones remind me of Herzeleid.

The guitars on Meine Tränen have something fuzzy going on, sounds pretty cool.

Richard has been a huge fan of fuzz pedals in the passed few years. Dude was hyping the Gamechanger Plasma like crazy. You can hear it on the fuzzy parts during Sex on the last Rammstein album and I THINK there's a couple of parts on the last 2 Emigrate albums as well.

just checked out angst and its ok, feels like typical rammstein at this point. Just not that into their big theater and strings section orchestra vibe i guess. Till kinda seems trapped in that bed time story book vibe and I think they sound better tuned to standard and drop d. Still a great band and very skilled people, it seems im just stuck in their past tunes!

After several spins today (cleaning out an old house before a move) and I’m digging it way more.

Also, for sure downtuned 6’s. I can’t hear the extra mass of the 7 string nexk

Ok... loved Zeit's video, Zick Zack is cool but ANGST? HOLY SHIT

I'm done, I NEED to start a band that sounds like Rammstein

if there's anything you can trust with Rammstein, it's really high-quality music videos with great production values...

...Well, most of the time. There's some exceptions, but most of the time there's a lot of care put in those videos.

Also one thing I'll never get is how Christoph's drumming peaked with LIFAD, and the following tour, but we never got that drumming again. It's like he was forced to tone it the fuck down for Untitled. Zeit is definitely an improvement, though.

I never understood Rammstein to be honest with you guys. Always sounded like industrial porno music, granted I haven't listened to much. Someone give me the 411, where to start?

Herzeleid and Sehnsucht: Dancy industrial metal
Reise Reise and Rosenrot: More symphonic, slower, moody. Definitely some of their heavier songs.
Mutter and Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da: Middle ground between the two.
Self-titled and Zeit: Hard to describe. A modernized version of that Herzeleid/Sehnsucht sound.
