Eh. I'd rather keep the GBA slot than get a camera, personally. The other improvements seem nice, though.

yeh the no GBA slot is defo gonna make alot of people think first before buying this :/ they said they removed it to make the DS itself smaller but its only smaller by like a few mm's so that was a stupid desicion imo

Odds are the slight increase in screen resolution is so they can bring a Virtual Console-esque service to GBA, so prepare to buy Super Mario World and Link To The Past for the hundredth time, heh.

battery life is cut dead in half, I think I will pass on this thanks, I can deal with the minutely smaller screens of the lite.

I wouldn't replace my Lite with that. Slightly larger screens would be nice, but I like to have the GBA slot (even though I've never actually used it ). I wonder if the R4 and similar devices work with the DSi. I couldn't live without the ability to play Doom on the shitter.

I never used the GBA slot anyway. the addition of a browser looks awesome though.

^^I take it you never tried the Opera DS Browser? It blows. Apparently the one in the DSi is going to be more efficient, plus it'll have more RAM to work with and the wireless connectivity will be faster, but I still doubt it'll be great. The cameras make me think video chat though, which might be neat.

I'm guessing they won't, which is the main reason I'm hesitant about buying one. Nintendo has really been cracking down on flashcarts as of late, so I'm sure there's some sort of hardware protection in there.

:agreed: thats the exact same thing i've been thinkin about, only time can tell now lol and as for teh built in browser, that is defanetly one of the cool things about the DSi, tbh i couldnt of cared less about the bigger screen size though

From what I've heard it's only the online store that's region specific; the actual console itself will be region-free, just like the current DS, but this is all just speculation.
