New mixes, would like feedback or vocals (melodic/mid gain/AC30 and ENGL goodness)

hey guys, I had this clip sitting on my desktop for a while and never came around to upload it, so I decided to improve the mix as much as I could before finishing the last few bits. What do you guys think so far?

Regarding composition, one thing that is bothering me is how static the ''djont'' riff in the middle sounds right now, Im just slightly switching up dynamics on the guitar but it isn't very evident

aaand this is just a little clip of a solo from a song I've almost finished right now (just a guest solo from a friend away) but Im toying around with the idea of adding vocals, in case anybody is interested. (ofc I would send the full track, which is around 4 minutes long)

hey thanks! I love older CHON, and a few years ago I was more into Mars Volta, I love Omar style but never listened to something aside from Goliath and Frances, I'll pay a listen to the other albums



user @OmegaSlayer asked for the mid-gain guitar tone in another thread, so in case someone else is interested im gonna upload the screenshot here

used Redwirez impulses with the Mesa Recto 4x12, SM57, on axis cap at 0.5 inches (100% mix)
and the Uberkab with T75 and a Roger 121, on axis cap at 0.5 too (30% mix) tone is nice, full, dynamic and expresive
then aplied some spring reverb and the usual lo-hi pass filters

both clips played through position 4 of my Ibby RGA 321 (inner coils of both humbuckers) switched to full bridge in some sections of the second clip
