Pretty decent, a strong smith/dickinson signature (ie, no gallops), and Bruce isn't forcing his voice to go up there and force the use of autotune on the high notes, which is a blessing. Hiw voice is still awasome on a lower register so not spoiling it by evertune stints is a bonus. (That was especially noticeable on some AMOLAD songs)

Boring. All that hype for the stock standard fucking pre album release hype single. Wooooowwww. On top of that, they apparently can't even be bothered to give a release date either. I typically love Maiden, but this couldn't have been a bigger waste of everyone's time. Imagine putting this kind of effort into hyping the album rather than a goddamn single. Speaking of, how long must they work on an album, anyways?

    Shove it up your asses.

This. Considering Harris originally wanted to do 15 albums, everythig else is gravy.

Lol. They apparently made the video with Pixar. Might as well have Mickey Mouse come on screen and do that annoying laugh of his.

    Fuck this song.

All I hear in the beginning is Trey Xavier from Gear Gods yelling "why is your intro so long? Why are you making me wait to hear your top line?"

Not their best song, far from their worst... I like it a lot to be honest. And for at least the last 20 years or so, the singles were, to me at least, nowhere near the best songs on the records ("Empire of the clouds" being the only exception, more or less).
I was about to say "it's suprisingly short", then saw it was over 7 minutes... I'm fine with this. Yes, they overdid it with the hype, but so what? We'll get a release date when we get it, now that they ruined their chance to just release the record completely out of nowhere, I don't think there will be too many, if any suprises, but if that song is an indicator to the quality of the record, I'll probably like it.

Mix is so fucking brutal I can't actually tell if it's a good song or not.

Can't really hear the vocals or guitar leads.

Even as someone that likes county....this. At least when Metallica did it, I could see James having a country side project and it was a pretty solid song even if was....country Metallica...but this is Maiden, the only thing country about them is all the galloping.

It's Maiden, so I will always give it a listen and add the CD to the collection, but this track was pretty much bog standard. Hopefully the album will have some proper bangers on it.

Didn't listen to their last album much but remember not really digging it. This seems to be similar - also not really don't think Kevin Shirley's (iirc) mix style suits them imo (I really like some of his other work though so not hating)

The last three songs on the new album, in addition to the 7-8 minute tracks is going to be a disappointing experience. Give me shorter, more concise arrangements a la Number and Piece, or fuck off. They cannot do prog to save their lives, and the decline in their music can be correlated to their "proggy" aspirations.

I'm not sure if you remember this dude, but he did a project a few years back with Blaze. He specializes in classical-style renditions of Maiden tunes. And, this was fast!

Youtube is full of dudes playuing the song, it's not rocket science to play Maiden at this point.
As a side note I listened to other sources and the mix is much, much better than the one on the animated video.

I love Maiden as much as any of you but when I heard this new track yesterday, my first thought was how much those vocals aged.
