    Looks like that they are made by Sugi, we can deduce that only a handful of them will be produced, unlike the Fujigen models 8000 series which are now mass produced along the Prestige models for the western market !

    I would love to see a regular J-Custom Fujigen modern model without the vine inlays, like on these special series announced today !

    Nice finishes and the breath of freshness in their j lineup.
    Once i’ve been an owner of JPM. It wasn’t asymetrical. It was wide and chunky. It was the main reason i sold it. I prefer super thin wizard necks and my asymetrical version of that in my custom Skervs. i wonder whether does Ibanez make asymetrical neck with C profile under bass or treble side.

    Not my thing.

    Having Sugi making JCs is the best thing Hoshino has done in years. It's good having a fresher take. That said, I wonder if Ishibashi spec'd these.

    Can't wait for Kiesel to say these are copies...

    Though I think Tosin wanted to do the asymmetric thing but it would've cost too much for his model.

    I know the JC Tree Of Life topic is a sensitive one, but I think with these fretboards they would actually look better with a more complex version of it. Maybe have the inlays transition from Abalone to a certain type of wood, or maybe have the leaves be a different material, or something; just throwing my idea out there. I mean it's [OPEN PRICE] so the sky's the limit!

    I don't need the TOL on every Ibanez high-end guitar. Pretty soon they look like this...

    Yeah.. gotta say... Ibanez has been lacking in the innovation department. The brand just feels... stale.

    These don't really do anything for me which makes me feel both happy and unhappy.

    This isn't the normal tree of life and its only on the PIA. The typical J Custom tree of life is different from Vai's too.

    The JEM and now PIA use the "Vine", which is what the "V" designation in JEMs usually stood for ("P" for Pyramids).

    The JCs never got the Vine, only the ToL.

    The Vine dates back to the 70's 2000 series and Artist models. Though it's had changes here and there over the years.

    @MaxOfMetal Thanks for the correction on the vine inlay name (oops), but the PIA is using a variation of it. Which was my point, that they're all different patterns.

    Leading to...

    @USMarine75 My apologies, I misunderstood.
