This popped up for sale for a good price and I couldn't resist. I guess it helps that I've recently been GASing for almost exactly this guitar. I've been looking at pictures of dark-colored Regiuses with trems, though a new one is more than I really want to spend on a guitar. Definitely in player condition with a bunch of chips and dings, and some serious buckle rash, but thats fine with me. Mayones Regius 7 string with spalted (subtle) maple top, Kahler tremolo, and Bareknuckle Aftermaths. Oh yeah, I'm also backwards-handed. It was in desperate need of a good setup, and I still need to replace the volume knob. The Kahler was out of whack and the action was waaay too low. It also didn't have much sustain. I watched some videos on Kahler setups, put on a new set of strings and after a bunch of tweaking, it sounds really good now. Still not quite as much sustain as my hardtail Mayones Setius or my blocked floyd Schecter A7 though. It looks like Kahler sell a little metal bracket (for like £20 shipped to the UK!) to replace the springs, to make it a hardtail. I might do that as I don't actually use trems, I just like having a locking nut and fine tuners. If anyone has any setup tips or tricks for Kahlers, I'm all ears.
