Well guys, i officially own more than one 7 string now :yesway: I got my first one (Ibanez RG-7321) for fun to kinda play around with, didn't really realize what i was getting myself into haha. I figured out pretty quick 7's are definately the way to go. Didn't really ever think i'd end up with another one, but when the opportunity presented itself, i had to take it.

Anyway, it's a Conklin GTG-7 i believe, someone please correct me if i'm wrong, i don't really know much about these guitars. I did play it several times before i got it though, so at least i know i like the hell out of it :shred:

I really like the Neutrik locking input jack and Sperzel locking tuners, i'm not sure if it comes with those tuners from the factory?
Really nice feeling neck, a little thicker i think than the Ibanez, but in ways i like it better. Much better action, and faster feel.

Like i said, i don't know much about this guitar, so any info would be greatly appreciated!

Congrats! I've wanted one of these for a long time. They usually go for cheap too.

Very nice find. I wouldn't mind having one of those.. Conklin is known for it's quality basses and I imagine it's guitars are just as good. How do the stock pups sound?

    Btw, nice McDonalds

I must admit, i have a weakness for chicken nuggets lol.
Stock pickups sound pretty decent, as good as can be expected i guess. A lil hotter than the stock pups on my Ibanez.
I'm looking into replacing them though, like to have DiMarzio's or EMG's, but i'm open to suggestions.
Anybody got any 7 string pups for sale?

I suggest you give Seymour duncan Blackouts a shot, if you haven't yet. I think someone in the gear sell/buy forum had a set up there pretty cheap. Not to mention, you don't need to chop up your guitar to install them (Though, I'd get Phase 2 style blackouts as I like the bass housings more than normal humbucker housings)

EDIT: Nevermind, he has the 6 string ones :ugh:

:noway: Kinda seems like a jerk thing to do to come into a thread where a guy is excited about his new guitar and post a quick negative comment that contributes nothing to the conversation.
