    Hi!

    https://soundcloud.com/tomi-kangas/bury-the-hatchet

Finished another song yesterday and looking for feedback regarding the mix and the song.

Right off the bat I, the kick is way too high in volume, so that's the first thing I will change.

Recorded with a Solar A 2.6, and in drop C, this thing inspires for all kinds of heavy riffage!

    Thank you in advance!

    Bump... sry...

Really interested to hear any feedback on the drum sound (is the snare yay or nay?) Also I think the I managed to get the bass and drums to balance pretty nicely. The bass is semi high in volume but, I was aiming for that.

sounds good to me! snare sounds fine and the reduced volume of the kick in v2 is a good decision IMO

Sounds pretty good (referring to v2). It sounds natural. Only complaint is the 8th note closed hi hats. If you're programming drums (assuming), try to use the different closed hat sounds... just mix them up a bit so it doesn't sound like it's programmed. Gb Ab and 2 octaves up at Db Eb your midi controller if that makes sense.

Only thing I might suggest is that around 2:14 that you check the volume or rhythm of your layers a bit. Sounds good but a lot going on makes it a bit crowded.

What are you using for drums?

Thanks! Gonna try the the hi-hat trick!

For drums I use ezdrummer2. The Metal! Pack for everyting else except the kick is from metal machine. It's the second of the three kicks and it has basically been my go- to snare since when metal machine was released
