Agreed and I was a little worried upon seeing the bare body that the grain pattern rather than the flame might be too present - so very happy with the outcome :)

I'd rather see that grain, but hey, as long as you're happy

Highly figured roasted maple neck / fingerboard. Check out Kimball Hardwoods.
    Looks kick ass though!

Thanks, the idea was indeed to combine design elements from two of my favorites - PRS CU24 and Schecter C7 :)

Only thing that I would change with your design is the 4/3 tuners. As someone else mentioned, 4/3 has always looked unbalanced, for lack of a better word, to a 3/4 design to me.

I have four custom 7's, all with woods I either bought myself or requested from the builder. Swamp Ash, Bloodwood, Black Limba, Purple Heart, Stripe Ebony, Lacewood, Bubinga, Bacote etc. So, while your wood photo looks a lot like a maple, sure could be a number of other species. Either way that is some beautiful wood and should look fantastic on your build. Congrats!

p.s. - What are you going with as far as pick up switching options? 3 or 5 way, coil split, piezo?

@HaloHat: thank you so much for the feedback! To each his own I guess, I for one love 4+3 headstocks both for the look and the functional purpose (all wound strings tune on top).
As for woods, I see we have a lot in common, I in the meanwhile also buy the wood for the builds myself. In the case of this guitar, I only provided the body base, but the exact wood configuration was developed with the luthier.

So more pics, hope you like them

As for wiring, it is setup with a 3 way toggle and coil split on the push/push volume. No Piezo.

Damn, the back is better than the front! That's one of the nicest figured bodies I've ever seen!
