    Hey guys,

Thanks in advance for the help. I love the neck pickup in my prs S2 when it's split in a single coil setting. I'm just wondering which side is active when the pickup is split? The Left side (with the screws) or the right side? See attachment.

On to the next question. I have a caparison horus and I'd really like to attempt to physically take apart the same PRS pickup, take out the single coil that I like and put it on a strat pickup housing and install it on the horus. How crazy of an idea is this?

Just tap the pickup with your pick when split. When you tap each coil, you should be able to hear through the amp which is active.

As far as splitting a pickup into two coils and putting one in a strat single housing, it can be done if you have time and drive to do so.
