I missed too much my Bongo5 so when this poped up, I couldn't resist !

It's a FAN-TAS-TIC instrument, comfy to me : the neck is thin as could be thin and the string spacing of the "6" suits me better than the "5"
Strings are light, maybe need here some stronger ones on the low side
I need some practice and sound tweaking (bass and axe-fx) but love it !

The bass is nice, I always love a 6 stringer but... those guitars... oh my, those universes...

Please don't focus on'em we are in the bass forum !

the one thing bothering me are the cheap looking tuners

Awesome Bongo! I have to admit I am jealous. I had a 4 string years back that I regret selling now. They are really great basses, with a unusual look and I really like the paint and pickup config on yours.

The MM Bongo is probably the stringed instrument that i have the strongest love/hate relationship with. I love the sound and feed...but holy crap, do i ever think that are ugly.

You've got the best color they come in, but even then...woof. But again, they are indeed monsters!! Congrats on a killer instrument!

^ Im on the same boat. Hate them in one pic, love them? in another..... they look almost right for me, but I keep seeing them as too big of a body

would love to try one, but its one of those instruments Im yet to see live on a store.

Love your pickup config, and congrats on the bass!!!

as for the tunners, I dont think they look cheap at all. And I muhc rather have those than the stupid 80kg "Traditional" Fender style tennis rackets

The tuners "look" cheap but work smoothly and efficiently (if those words exist)
The better word is "modern" ?
@ A-Branger, you're right, and weight is somehow crucial when they are 6 at 34"

Tuners definitely aren't cheap, they're solid as fuck. HNBD!

The old ones look like you're cheap Chinese bass tuners (I'm sure they''re not of course)

But if you asked me which looked cheaper it'd be the old ones.
