well, I traded my peavey xxl head because i thought it was kinda ugly, and a 100w solid state, just wasnt cutting it for me, it didnt have the high volume clarity i was looking for. I got the peavey for free anyways though so no biggy. anyways, i traded the peavey for this randall rh200g2. this thing is far more powerful than the XXL. it went through a bit of a make over however, these past few days. Before After Then, the after after. Im going to make a new grill, with a very thin wooden frame instead of this very thick one, but all in all, it came out AWESOME!!!
Looks awesome man. I these are such sick amps and honestly I think they look so much better than the current Randall amps. Congrats!
and for anyone whos concerned, ive named my rig after south park. my amp is named randy marsh (randall and marshall) and my carvin is now named cartmen.
I dig those older Randalls quite a bit myself - used to own the 100W version. congrats - dig the LEDs.
Those amps sound great. I was rocking one for a few months with my band. Probably shoulda kept it. Oh well lol.
that definitely is a sweet amp, love blue led backlighting on any amp too i should do that with my vmax
Sorry, I've been too busy nutting over Caveman's holy mancave for the last month... Welcome to the Randall family lol
I used to have 2 of these with an actual blacklight inside lol. Taped inside no less. I used to use them for classic rock. Gain all the way down on red channel but with a beta aivin noise gate on all the time. Had a volume knob on it. Very handyhandy. Then it was boosted with a Marshall bb2 blues breaker in boost mode. It was the ONLY boost that sounded good with this. Never used the green gain tho.....
