Saw this for sale and sent the owner a trade offer for my KSR but he rejected it, saying that he was looking for a Friedman. Luckily, I got a BE recently in a trade and offered him that and he accepted. An $1100 Fortin amp makes me very happy. It sounds great. Tons of low end and more gain than I need. It sounds like a very aggressive and angry modded Marshall. I may end trying to trade it so I can trade my way up the totem pole to an SLO but for now, I'm gonna enjoy it.

You are the master of amp trades

A Mesa rec for a Deliverance and now a Friedman for a Fortin!?

in my opinion, thats a massive metal upgrade.

    EDIT: We want vids/tones!!

You're the next best thing to the guy who traded a paperclip for a house.

Yeah, I listed it on reverb but I'd sell it for $2800 off of Reverb.

    That's like a JCM800-ish amp right?

I know Ian Thornley was using them for a while.

That amp has been making the rounds for a LONG time and been sold repeatedly for substantially less than that. I don't think any of the owners have kept it for more than 12 months.

The funniest one was the guy that bought it, lost or broke the custom RJM box that actually made the dual volumes / gains switchable, and then tried to sell it for more than he bought it for with the box included.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Sounds good to me and there aren’t any problems with it that I can find. The 2nd master volume and gain controls are switchable with a single button footwswitch.

Yeah sorry, the amp gizmo deal was for a custom midi switch that was with it, didn't mean to imply they can't be switched (and realized on rereading it that I did).

Bragging you got it for $1100 then trying it to sell it someone who knows that for $2800 is just hilarious

That's net through a series of trades. By that logic no one's going to pay $2k+ for a BE-100 either, that he had also nabbed for that much cash in the game.

I mean, best of luck with the sale. Let one of those mindless Fortin Army guys grab it. Though, given the cost of Calis I imagine it'll be hard to get more than $2200 for the Bones.

It was more the "look what a great deal I got, now let me bend you over on it..." I was commenting on, not that it should be listed for $1100. As you pointed out $2800 is higher than these have been going for when they come up.
