I haven't posted on here in a while, because I've been waiting for this moment to post. Over two years ago, I made the decision to remodel my RG7620, disassembling it and stripping it of all its original black finish. Gradually, I narrowed down what I would do to it, deciding on a "holoflash" finish on the body and headstock, an oiled neck with the last four frets scalloped, and a single BKP Painkiller pickup in the bridge position. I worked on the guitar sporadically since then, doing most of the woodwork in October-December 2011, applying the finish in August 2012, and putting on the final touches over this past month. The finished product lurks in the darkness... At first look, it doesn't really look that dazzling But turn on the lights, and... Under direct light, the colors really pop Focus on the scallops View of the back Overall, I could not have been any happier with the result. I really look forward to what I can do with it.
