Everyone has that one second hand find that's just ridiculously amazing. This one is mine!. This is a 1991 Japanese RG565, Procured for a ridiculously low price (120$!) in pretty horrible condition. I completely disassembled it, applied WD40 liberally to all the metal parts, removed various stickers and cleaned the corrosion off the frets and handed it over to the wonderful Matt Bach (from bach guitars) to setup, and install hardware/electronics. The end result, pointy early 90's fun times! The neck is absolutely insanely thin, thinner than anything else I've ever played, and its a rhythm monster. It is a bit dull above the 15th fret which is probably a lose fret somewhere, but aside from that its great. It's rocking a Titan in the bridge, and a protrack in the neck (thanks zimbloth/nick from axepalace.com !!). The titan is a really nice pickup in basswood. I've heard people say that It's a bit rounded, but it works *really* well in this wood combination. Alright onto the pictures!
