My Girlfriend..

    she decided to learn bass giutar.. she works all day and it's impossible for her to get some lesson.. so, i have the idea of getting for her some instructional videos with BASIC exercise..

    do you know some istructional videos for really beginner? =)

    ps: what's about Gary Willis's Progressive Bassics? too difficult? i don't know this instructional video.. you?

    Not a good thing for someone who is just starting. Willis shows his right hand technique in this video, and it's hard for people who've been playing bass for a while. A three-finger system where you mute exclusively with your right hand isn't, I think, the way to go for a raw beginner. There's really nothing "basic" about that video. It's all about his right hand technique and fretless playing.

    Besides, Willis himself hates that video now. It's in the last question on the page.

    ok.. i read Mr willis's interwiev.. ahah.. i'll change my choice from Willis's Bassics to Sheehan's Bass Basics..

    ^ i mind that this thing is well written.. :O

    Not meaning t5o offend you or your signifigant other, but 'Bass Guitar for Dummies' is a good book for learning to play bassic stuff.
