Possible Mudvayne reunion according to this article. 4 festival dates to possibly be announced tomorrow.

LD50 turns 20 years old in August. I was 12 when this was released, and damn what an impression it made. I was already consumed with Korn at the time, then this came out.

Dig was obviously the main one along with the video. Death Blooms has always been right beside it as one of my favorites as well.

Call me what you want but I'm not exactly thrilled.
I used to be a real nu-metal fan and I loved Mudvayne. Looking back at it, aside from Ryan Martinie, the band wasn't really that great imo. I feel like they (and many others) were hitching a ride on a train, pulled by Korn, Deftones, Slipknot, Linkin Park,..
That aside, it could be great, who knows..

I loved Mudvayne, it would be cool to see them do something again. Kind of figured after Vinnie died and Hellyeah would no longer be Chads meal ticket, they would get together.

Mudvayne was one of the few bands that were good from that era. In a world of Linkin Parks, there was Mudvayne and I appreciated a break from all the crap that existed.

Then they got bad....REAL bad. At least we have L.D. 50. I like to pretend they just broke up after that and nothing else they released afterwards counts.

I stopped paying attention after Lost and Found. I still liked half the songs on that one but man it was night and day compared to L.D.50. Actually thinking about their discography as a whole I think L.D.50 is the only one that really stands out, the others are more on the generic/radio-safe side.

I still wish Ryan would've done more after Mudvayne. Hellyeah blew.

I got the chance to seem them back in the day on Ozzfest after Lost and Found came out (I think it was the 05 tour). They sounded great on that stacked tour bill. I saw Hellyeah like 10 years later and lasted one song and dipped out. I am kind of hoping that Mudvayne does get back together, drops a new EP (maybe album?) and does a full tour in support at some point.

Same here. I made it to Lost and Found, and that one was the last one for me. Way too watered down imo

I wonder how much of the watered down-ness was the push from their label and people vs them just running out of gas.

I'm always curious what goes on behind the scenes.

There is nothing to Gein with a reunion at this point.

They made one album that I loved (The End of All Things to Come), but I don't even remotely enjoy the rest of their catalog.

    Cool?

I hate to jump on that bandwagon, but I would have been way more excited to have heard Ryan got involved with a newer fresher project. I'll probably still keep an eye on this to see if Mudvayne releases something, and, if they do, I'll check it out, but my expectations are fairly low.

the singer can't pull off any of what he did on LD50 nowadays. The guitarist had some riffs but nothing mindblowing. Ryan was great. The drummer was also good i guess

Based on their press release looks like theyre back to doing that pseudo-intellectual, scifi movie rambling shit again.

The interest came and left on my end. Pass

ld 50 was mindblowing, everything after.... i won't even try to compare.
i can't imagine what would they have to put together this time to make it worth my time.
