    Hello everyone.

I am currently having built a 7 string guitar with scales ranging between 27 and 25 ''. I have noticed that the positioning of the monorails at the bridge does not follow a straight line.

As you can see, the forth and fifth's string monorail position seems to be slightly different than the line of the rest strings' monorails..

I hope I made my self understood. Does anyone have any knowledge on this matter.

    Thanks and cheers!!!
    Syd.

it's like that to acommodate intonation, same reason why on a non multiscale guitar the saddles don't follow a straight line perpendicular to the strings

This is what I thought too.

The difference is that usually in an multi scale the bridge consists of 7 single monorails separately attached to the body and there is limited range they can be moved after being attached.

So you have to have somehow pre configured the relevant place where they will be put in order to be able to adjust the intonation properly.

In a single scale this is not a thing since it is already configured.
