Hey guys. I recently picked up a used Ibanez S470 and I'm itching to mod sooooooooooooo badly. Here's what she looks like now:

My current plan is to cover the top in this: Black Metro 3D Carbon Fiber Wrap Series Vinyl

And spray the back & sides in plasti-dip. 11 oz. Black Rubber Coating Spray-11203-6 at The Home Depot

Sounds pretty stupid, but it's different :yesway:
As for pickups, the stock Powersounds are pretty awful, so I'm going to switch them out with some white or red D-Activators. Also, before i cover the top in the Vinyl wrap, I'm going to take out the single coil because I don't need it and it gets in the way of my picking and some harmonics.
I made some quick photochops of what to expect.

Any input as far as what i should do? Thanks.

    Looks pretty cool.
I'd dye that fretboard black too.
Are you gonna fill the single coil route? I would strongly recommend it.
You should use the vinyl on the pick up rings and the electronics covers too.

EDIT: White pick ups look better in my opinion.

Plasti dip seems to be a pretty cool idea. If your looking for wood thats cheap im filling in the FR Trem and back cavity and the neck humbucker with matching mahogony wood on my S7. Rockler.com has really good prices on wood, i actually got my wood block for 7 bucks. You can also google promotional codes for Rockler and you can get free shipping. Good luck.

If you're gonna put a vinyl on it, I wouldn't worry about what the filler wood is. If you want to get matching mahogany, go right ahead. But whatever you can find should be good as long as it is relatively dried out.

    ^ Dem bitches chrome?

Far out. If your hardware is chrome, that'd be a nice fit.
