This is fvcking awesome!! Congrats! :shred: :D

I'm more than a little jealous, I hope you have a great time playing it. What year is this guitar, btw? I remember they made these voodoo series back in the early 00's but I don't remember them coming back since then. If you snagged an original, this is quite a find.

    Cheers!

Its a 2002. The Explorer is the rarest to get hold of.
The new Voodoo's just look plain boring :(

And you're gonna post a picture of the whole family?? Dude, you rule. Again, congrats. :yesway:
Are you talking about the 2016 limited run Voodoo Paul that just showed up on Gibson's website?

I agree, it's not as good. It's too "satin red"... it looks like a "vampyre red" Schecter, where the original Voodoo's were black with red accents. They looked like natural wood with red veins shot through. Plus, no skull inlay is WEAK.

I was totally with you, until you praised the single most cliche thing in all of rock music.

I did 2 tours in UK with my old band and my rhythm guitarist always insisted Gibson to loan him 2 of that exact Voodoo Explorer model. Such a great instrument. The body looks much greater in person.

    Congrats on the keeper. :yesway:

Fun fact: I saw "NGD Voodoo Explorer" in the main feed and instantly thought "hey, Pondman finally got his explorer." lol

Nice guitar. Congrats on finally being able to track a reasonable one down.

Nicely done, I went through a phase where I wanted all the models from the original Gothic series. Seeing all 4 of them together would put a huge grin on anyone's face.

This is and the Gothic Explorer are two of my bucket list guitars. Congrats Pondman and it really doesn't look from the photos to be in a bad condition. Mainly the spot above the bridge humbucker stands out but aside from that it looks a lot better than the incredibly few I've seen for sale (after they've sold :'( ).
