    Bought on bandcamp, listening now.

Already saw a counterparts comparison on twitter, except MS predates by a lot .

I'm just stoked on original lineup and new music.

loving it! (specially Sunlifter, Cascade Locks and Some Dreams)
Couldn't get into any other album by the band beside Controller (which is one of my favourite albums ever) but I feel this one definitely holds up to that album, aside from that, it has been one of the few Metal albums that really motivated me to try to learn some of the songs in it

I think it's a great record. I just wish it was longer. Always happy to hear new stuff from these guys, though.

can't get into this one. it's cool jesse is back, but it just sounds like a continuation of the last one, which wasn't good.

Of Malice... will always be a classic, though

People who didnt like Absent Light, how much crack are you on? :D

It's the only album from the band that I find any good.

Half way through the new one now and it's pretty savage so far actually, so maybe make that these two albums.

will give a few spins to Absent Light while I take a walk, but I remember I gave it a few listens before and it just didn't stuck with me.
Controller wasn't exactly "easy" to get into, but I love the production and riffs of that album so much

That's funny because its the production on Controller that really puts me off it. Reminds me a bit of evergreen by after the burial in the way it sounds and I just couldn't get into either record as a result.

Loving ultraviolet so much I'm staying up to relisten to it on the big speakers.

love the new record. Mis Sigs were ahead of the game over 10 years ago.. there's just a lot of bands that took a leaf out of their book inbetween.

This one is probably my favorite since Of Malice. I feel like it's missing the jaw-dropper transitions/riffs from Of Malice and Controller, though.

Mirrors is the only record they put out that I couldn't get into. Absent Light though is probably their #2 for me after Malice. The back half of that album is just so unbelievably solid; that main riff in The Shallows still gives me goosebumps.

I haven't had the chance to run through the new album yet- how does it measure up compared to the singles? I didn't really vibe with The Tempest and River King, so I've been kind of nervous for this release lol.

My mind is blown by people loving Controller so much, it is imo by far their weakest album(sterile). Old school fan though, so maybe it was the timing of the album. How can people think Mirrors was bad? What is going on in the world?

I wouldn't consider it a bad album, my bar for MS is just incredibly high. But the production on it didn't feel as visceral as Malice or as polished as Controller. It also was one of those albums that imo suffered from having a few very standout songs that dulled the appeal of the rest. Butcher, The Failsafe, and Anchor though? Incredible.

My first time seeing them was touring controller (with Bane, comeback kid and gravemaker?) And my god it was awesome.

I kind of agree to this logic with standout songs for mirrors, add 'something wad always missing..' and you got 4 killer songs, maybe that's enough to make a good album. But yeah now that you say it I think I never listened to mirrors in one complete run.
