    Hi All!
After getting this MH1000NT a fair while ago in a bit of a state its long been my aim to get some new hardware on it. The original locking TOM bridge's posts were mashed, and the Locking grub screws were seized making it a nightmare to adjust. The Machine heads were all corroded & although sounding great the guitar looked a right mess close up!

SO. Having allways been a die hard Black Hardware fan, I thought it was due a refresh with all black hardware. While I was at it I gave the back of the neck a satin finish with some super fine steel wool.

Now it feels even better to play :shred: and has the looks to match in my opinion.. Win win! :hbang:

Anyway... The Pictures. (excuse some of the crappy phone pics)

Few work in progress shots (the red neck was the tester on my old Epiphone Special II for making the neck satin )

    How it was-

    The tester-

The new neck finish! - I took inspiration from the neck join on the ESP M1 for the masking lines!

Gave the frets a polish & cleaned / hydrated the neck

    All Old hardware off.

    That looks sick!

Just the right shade of blue to really set off the black hardware!

Looks real nice, the blue and black works well!

I must say, I prefer the sunburst colour you are getting rid off though! Out of interest, how much are you selling it for? I wouldn't mind one myself but don't see many in that colour..

That looks way better with that guitar, especially with the black humbucker rings. And it's cool to see that masking the finish works well for satin sanding. :yesway:

Those string through ferrules- are they sorta cosmo finished too? Because I've been looking for a set.

The Ferules are black aswell yes, Took me a while to find a set. Found a guy on ebay (PapaD's Music store) who turned out to be just down the road so I went and grabbed em for £1.50!

To be honest the Sunburst is the better guitar... And the discontinues finish is nice! It's one of the earlier models and its hard to explain but its ALOT heavier than the newer blue one, the neck looks almost ebony, and its generally in much better condition & Feels better built. BUT I had done all these mods to this before deciding to sell one, So I'd rather get rid of the standard one!

It's for sale for £500, And the guy is coming to pick it up on Saturday. Quite alot for a used MH1000NT I know.. But I wouldn't let it go for any less as it's a lovely axe! :shred: I never did a proper NGD for it. But I may do a Fairwell Guitar Day for it!

Ah yes, I know PapaD's. I've ordered some bits and bobs from him before. But I should've been more clear- I was talking about the stock ones you pulled from the guitar.

ah yes, they are the sort of "Shadow chrome" they come as standard with.
