Stronger than the last 2, and near on par with Lux Aeterna. Really looking forward to the album.

That was actually one of the better songs I've heard from them in a long time, and I was thinking "this sounds like something they're having fun playing at this age".

The tone is just a bit generic to me for some reason. The song and playing is good to me though.

probably the better of the 4 songs. Vibes of Spit out the bone and Now That We're Dead. Unfortunately this new album seems to be worse than the previous one and even worse than the one before. The sound is this weird combination of Kill em all and Load.

@c7spheres , there's something about the hi-hats i don't like. I don't know if they're layered with samples but the drums sound a bit off to my ears. The kick also sounds buried in the mix and a bit wet?

I don't know, its ok, but the Metallica boat sailed a very long time ago for me. I check out new work purely out of respect but im basically over it at this stage.

I liked this one. Not as copy paste as the others. So far it's not wearing off like Lux Aeterna. And agree with previous comments that it is dance inducing which is never a bad thing. I like to be happy these days.

The song is fine enough, but man that video is grating to watch. Their stylistic approach for the current run of songs seems to just be "band on a carousel-cameras on a carousel-lights-lights-lights-flashy-flashy-blurry-yeah!"

An effort would be nice.

I think people are so quick to dissect newer material because everyone is desperately looking for something decent in the song. Unfortunately its been pretty surface level for over 30 years now so this situation is reminiscent of a pack of vultures flying round a carcass that passed a long time ago. People have chose to settle for mediocre when it comes to Metallica.

With regards to any age related qualms people might have, i give you Megadeth.
