Mostly exhausted my current music library and looking for some new bands to listen to. I'll never get tired of melodic death metal and for every In Flames or Soilwork there are 10 more just like them that I haven't heard yet. I'm sure a lot of users here can recommend some awesome bands that I haven't heard yet.

What about Enter my Silence? Pretty much their entire (rather small) catalogue is incredible.

I'll follow this thread too as some of these recommendations are really interesting and I haven't heard any of these bands before.

Unfortunately the bands that come to mind you probably know already. But I have to say I'm spinning The Black Dahlia Murder Nightbringers non stop. Such a tight album with almost no weak spots. But I'm sure you've listened to it already.

And surely you've heard of a band called....
    At The Gates?

Some people call Dissection melodeth, but that's not a proper classification IMO. Melodic black metal is more appropriate. Killer band though.

This might be a big "duh", but since noone has said it in this thread, I'll just be the guy...

Holographic Universe is just the shit.

Easily up there with the catchiest MeloDeath records.

I dunno if this masterpiece can be considered melodic death, maybe adding prog to the label?
