The story of Chris Holmes...anyone else watch this on Amazon prime ?

Never was a WASP fan , but i liked Chris Holmes because he was a Charvel Jackson player....in the Doc he's still playing the most beat up Jackson ive ever seen...lol

Hes a BIG man ...what is he like 6'6 ?

I think I recall watching some of this, and turning it off. The guys quite a turd. Edit; I’m thinking of another film I saw him in. Still a turd.

The other film was Decline of the Western Civilisation pt2. Director said alot of what looked like more and more vodka was actually the same bottle filled with pool water

Just came here to say W.A.S.P. music kicks ass!
I don't know any members, but I remember that documentary. Pretty sad, but anyone who's been there can relate. I think he did a public service during that pool scene. Probably made more kids say no than the D.A.R.E. program ever did.

Hey he survived the eighties ....Glad he sobered up !

Yea that scene the roadie said it was water in that bottle...Chris wouldn't waste good Vodka . I shows at the very least what bad magement can do when you sign a record deal, your most likely high or drunk and ...you sign everything away....other than his name on the written or cowritten songs , all he came out with is a fan base....He does like his fans, unlike a lot of rockstars from back then...i respect him for that, but he's the same now antics wise minus the booze and drugs....thats who Chris is ...he's just a " Wild Child " !

He married Lita Ford...wow i remember her in those ripped up jeans. in the guitar mags..man she was hot, my fav 80's chick !

Not a bad documentary. If it's legit, then I'd say he seems like a cool dude. Partying with him, and Johnny back in the 80s would have been a trip for sure.

Never cared for Blackie, but seeing him in the videos with the Warlock bass was always cool.

Blackie had that bad azz cod piece...that really drew a lot of shock value for the band and gave them more press , magazine exposure...made the bored housewives of the PMRC have a cow. put labels on all records..oh fun times ....They weren't the Devil, its was show biz

We need a VH1 where are the now...the bored housewives of the PMRC

I've started reading Nothin' But a Good Time: The Uncensored History of the '80s Hard Rock Explosion, and not long finished the chapter on how Wasp got together and their early club days, the flaming wasp sign, throwing raw meat at the crowd and at a half naked woman tied to a cross on stage as well as Blackies saw blade codpiece! Holmes interview parts are pretty blunt and honest. I never really liked Wasp music tbh but I can imagine them and Motley Crue were amazing to see in those days

I was a huge W.A.S.P. fan in Jr. High and High school. First time I saw them was on their co-headlining tour with Metallica (Winged Assassins tour for W.A.S.P., Ride the Lightning for Metallica) on Feb 16, 1985 (Armored Saint opened) at the Uptown Theater in KC (capacity 1,700).

This was when they still had the whole rack setup for "The Torture Never Stops", the flaming logo, and the raw meat. It was quite a spectacle.

I too was always inspired by Holmes' Star. It was originally a Charvel, but it's had at least 3 different necks (reverse Strat, pointy Charvel, pointy Jackson) over the years. I bought a Desolation Star when those were around mainly because of that guitar.
