    This is a play through video of one of my songs.

    Guitar and bass are recorded using Axe FX II. Drums are programmed using Steven Slate drums.

    The video is filmed using Nikon D7000. I used Nikkor 40mm f/2.8, Samyang 85mm f/1.4 and Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lenses.

    Someone likes Tool. :)

    Cool song, nice to hear something with a strong bass grove to it, or something that isn't trying to be the djentiest djent that ever djent.

    Yes indeed, is that some Tool-influences I'm hearing?

    It's a very refreshing song, and like sear said: feels good to watch something with an Axe Fx that ain't djent :lol:
    Cool song, great mix and phat bass!

    Edit: When squinting, which I for some reason was doing when I watched, you kinda look like Maynard :D

    Yup, there is some influence from Tool, can't deny it. :) I wanted to record something different this time... Nice to hear that the mix sounds good.

    Very cool song, love the bass. I'm probably one of the few on this board that isn't a Djenthead so this is very refreshing.

    Very cool! So nice to listen to something unusual these days.
    DAT BASS! Could you tell what gear you use to track it?

    Thanks Andrew!

    I used Axe FX to record the bass. In the mix i copied the track and made it another bass track, that boosts some sub-bass sound to the mix.

    Interesting trick. Might use it aswell. So this explains a sort of flanger effect I hear there? Or you have something else?

    No, doubling the Bass track doesn't do the flanger effect. Here is my signal chain:

    Bass ->Comp ->Amp ->Cab ->Chorus ->Flanger ->Phaser
